I owe my daughter an apology. I have often chided her for her huge collection of shoes, when I myself have quite a collection and just grew it by another pair today. I can’t help it, I like a good looking boot. I was looking for some new work shoes/boots and found a nice pair of Florsheims, but I was lured away by a pair for everyday casual wear. I like boots and I like jackets. I have a growing collection of hats too, now that I think about it.

My advice is to stay away from Zappos. They make it too easy to find stuff you like. But can you blame me?  Look at these boots!

2012 is going to prove to be one of the milestone years in my family’s life. Caleb will be starting school, Shelby will be starting High school, and Andie will be starting college. That in itself will be epic, but there’s more. I don’t know what it is, I don’t know where it is, but I do know who it is. God has directed my life (with or without my cooperation) for His purpose, for His reasons. Up to now, I have been more or less, just a body. Just a person filling a seat in a pew. Just a “fill-in”, just a substitute. Let this serve to be my battle cry: “Lord, whenever, wherever, I am willing.”
