Romans 5:6-8 states: “For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man, someone would dare even die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

In Romans, chapter 7, the last 12 verses, Paul talks about the constant battle of Good and Evil within himself. We all engage in this very same battle every day. This is because of our humanity. If we were perfect, we would engage in this battle only once, to remain victorious gladiators, but alas, we are not perfect, and so the battle rages daily.

We are not “Good” nor “Righteous” by nature, yet Christ died for us.  All that is to say this: I have the best, most wonderful wife in the world! Why? Because even though I battle daily with the evil in my life (and often times lose) She STILL loves me. She STILL makes me coffee and brings it to me without asking. She still cleans up my messes and never complains. She still forgives me when I don’t deserve it. I have the best wife in the world because she is a GODLY wife and allows God to pour out His grace, mercy, and love to me, through her.

Am I blessed or what? 🙂
